The guide is the result of ten years of research and includes more than 100 areas that have never before appeared in print.

An extensive history section is included, as well as stories from climbers who climbed at these areas.

Within its 496 pages, the book includes a forward by Henry Barber, color coding to quickly identify states and indexes listing ice and mixed routes by grade.
